Follow-up — from your answer
Questions come from the role you paste in, and the follow-up comes from the answer you just gave.
How it works

Three steps to a stronger interview

Bring a role if you have one. If not, start with a general interview.

  1. 01

    Choose the role

Paste a job description, or start a general interview for your level.

  2. 02

    Answer out loud

Handle realistic questions and follow-ups based on what you say.

  3. 03

    Fix the weak points

See where your answer lacked structure, evidence, or clear ownership.

What you get

Questions from the job you are chasing

Paste the description and the interviewer works from it: the responsibilities it names, the seniority it implies, the gaps in your background it would probe. Behavioural, technical and situational questions are weighted for that role, so a manager and an analyst do not get the same script.

Follow-ups that go where you are weakest

A vague claim gets pressed. A number you skipped gets asked for. “What was your role, specifically?” is the question friends running mock interviews never ask, and it is the one that decides real ones.

Feedback tied to what you said

Structure, specificity, filler and pacing, each pointed at the moment in your transcript where it showed. General advice is easy to agree with and impossible to act on.

No job description yet? Start anyway

Choose your level and begin with a general interview. Add a role later for more focused questions.

Your result

Example feedback from one answer

PrepPal connects each point to something you said, so you know what to change.

Example feedback
The read replicas lagged during backfill, so we paused and re-sequenced the writes.

Missing ownership

The answer explains the problem, but not your role in the decision. An interviewer may not know what you led.

Next time: name your decision, explain why you made it, and state the result.
